After completing her undergraduate education\, she pursued her passion for helping others\, earning an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy and graduating as a distinguished member of the National Honor Society. In 1999\, after attending a two-week Child Therapy Gestalt workshop in Santa Barbara\, Claudette and her family made the decision to\nrelocate to the area. Once settled\, she became deeply involved in volunteer and advocacy work. She spent six years on the Board of Domestic Violence Solutions\, serving as Board President for four years\, where she discovered her natural ability to connect\, collaborate\, and lead inclusively. In addition to her work with Domestic Violence Solutions\, Claudette joined both the Girls Inc. Board and The Democratic Women of Santa Barbara County Board. She has been the Democratic Women\nEvent Co-Chair since 2018 and currently serves as 2nd VicePresident. Her exceptional organizational skills have played a key\nrole in fundraising efforts for political leaders such as Senator Cory Booker\, Amy McGrath\, Representative Katie Porter\, Representative Pete Aguilar\, and\, most recently\, Senator Tammy Baldwin. Through these efforts\, she has helped raise vital funds for candidates and causes\, collaborating with other political groups to work toward\nelecting Democratic House candidates. Claudette and Jim have instilled values to their children\, James\, Jared and Nicole that community activism\, compassion\, family and friendships are indeed crucial aspects of a fulfilling and meaningful life.
